We travel overland to see and photograph things typical of each region – like roadside shrines, small & unadorned or large & elaborate, which we pass daily.
On our tour around Lago Ranco in Chile we happened to come onto a historic car meeting in Futrono. A reason to stop and shoot a few photos for this gallery.
Many buildings, old and new, in Chile are clad in corrugated or pressed iron. Small houses, large government buildings, old mansions with rich embellishments.
The Ciudad Abierta, known as “Arquitectura de Ritoque”, was founded 1970 as an experiment in new architecture and communal living. An interesting site to visit.
