Ouro Preto is an old gold mining town in the mountains of Minas Gerais. It’s recognised, for its opulent baroque buildings, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mostly we avoid visiting places a second time, and keep our memories. In Paraná, Brazil we happily found, along with new sights, some places were unchanged.
Our challenge was to show our visitor an interesting variety of sights in and around Santiago. We had only a little over one week and made the most of it.
